This setting fits a round stone from 5.2mm - 5.5mm with about 5.3mm being ideal. Even though 5.5mm can fit, it is an aggressive fit and not all setters are able to setting a stone like this as it would require carefully removing some metal around the bezel. This is a very labor intensive job which is reflected in the beauty and rarity of the piece. The sapphires are very high quality and have a vibrant color. The ring also has six sparkling diamonds with three to each sides of the ring that are all bright white and 100% clean to the naked eye with no visible imperfections. The ring is made from solid 14 karat white gold and weighs 2.7 grams. The measurements are 9.9mm across (north-south) and 4.8mm from the finger to the top of the center mounting.
